Back to the grind
Tomorrow is my last day of enjoying life as an unemployee because my new job starts on Wednesday. I have had a wonderful time off. It is amazing how much better I've felt this last week and a half now that I don't have to worry or think or care about that other job. The best thing about it is that I am actually returning to my old place of employment so I know exactly what it's going to be like and I wont have to deal with any of those new place jitters that I go through when I'm doing something I've never done before.

There is a rather ironic piece to this situation though. Since the day that I received the offer (or the REoffer as I should call it), I have been called 3 times for interviews by this other company that I was so desperately trying to get employed by before deciding to contact my old job! I don't doubt for a second that I made the right decision here by returning, but damn, where were they for the last 7 months?!?!?

Good Times
I'd like to blog today about what a great point I am at in my life. I just returned from the USVI after spending the last 5 days sunning, swimming, drinking and celebrating the wedding of a close friend and tomorrow will be closing out my 1-1/2 year adventure at my current job. I have decided to terminate my employment there for more reasons than I think this text area can hold (and I know it can hold a lot because I've seen some of the books that you people post!) so I will spare you the gory details and just get on with this blog. For those of you who know me well,  "sink or swim" pretty much sums it up!!!

So after tomorrow I will be spending another week and a half relaxing at home and then will be returning to my previous job with some familiar faces and an environment where I can thrive and grow and enjoy life again. I am really exciting about the months to come.

So I'm going on vacation next week and would like to read a book while I'm relaxing on the beach in beautiful St. John, USVI. I have been into easy-reading girlie books by british authors such as Marian Keys lately, but also enjoy psychotic and twisted books by authors like Patrick McGrath and Stephen King. I do not like books that are very detailed in areas such as law or business because I just can't keep up!

What are some of your favorite reads?

I went to the U2 show in Phila last night and it was AWESOME! The band rocked, the light show was amazing, and our seats were great. They even played my favorite song of theirs, a real oldie called 'Gloria'. I hope all big U2 fans got to see them on this tour or at least got their newest album. Good times... good times...
